On March 14th, 2014, Airbus and NPU (Northwestern Polytechnical University) signed a cooperation agreement on exploring ways to apply LSF to aviation. Xi’an Bright Laser Technologies Co., Ltd. (BLT) will engage in R&D and production of this project. Huang Weidong, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Solidification Processing NPU and President of BLT, signed the agreement with Airbus China COO Gonzalez
After the signing ceremony, Gonzalez and his delegation were invited to visit the workshops and BLT exhibition room. Chairman Huang Weidong detailed the flange parts on the C919 central wing. Gonzalez paid high tribute to BLT’s technical strength and collaborative ability. “R&T joint forces will contribute more to the partnership between Airbus and China. Airbus has been capturing the best partners in the world for cost-effective technologies to ensure the sustainable development of its products”, said him.
